Is the Rapture Biblical?

Is the rapture real or biblical? I talk about where the concept of the rapture originated from. It was not lost on me that this was in the tail end of the 2nd great awakening. This is also the time period Joseph Smith showed up. Do you think the 2nd great awakening left people vulnerable to the grift.
